Camp Hayden to host annual special needs Halloween event

The nonprofit Camp Hayden will host its 7th annual ‘Special Needs Trunk or Treat’ this Saturday in Idaho Falls. The event, held at the Develop Worth & Independence (DWI) facility, features a kid-friendly haunted experience designed to be an accessible adventure for children with disabilities and their families.

Founded by Jason Chapa and Kami Schmidt in memory of their late son, Hayden, the nonprofit aims to create unforgettable experiences for children with special needs. In addition to the Halloween event, Camp Hayden organizes various accessible activities throughout the year, including holiday-themed hunts and an annual summer camp.
