Camp L'man Achai conducts New York immersion trip and launches Twelve Pesukim gameshow

Camp L'man Achai campers spent several days in New York City, beginning with a visit to the Ohel in Crown Heights, followed by a tour of the Chabad headquarters at 770, local Judaica stores, a kosher supermarket and a workshop where vintage tefillin and mezuzot were displayed. The group also explored Manhattan landmarks such as the Staten Island Ferry, Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, the 9/11 Memorial and Yankee Stadium, while engaging in public mitzvot like putting on tefillin for passersby.

On Sunday, the camp hosted its first Twelve Pesukim Chidon and Gameshow, marking the 50th anniversary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s campaign encouraging every Jewish child to learn the foundational twelve verses. Twenty campers qualified for the competition, with the top ten earning an exclusive trip and all participants scoring 80% or higher entered into a raffle for the same opportunity. The event included a live broadcast, a special breakfast for contestants, and a fundraising appeal to support future programs.
