Campania Anti-Camorra Commission honors Franco Imposimato in Maddaloni
The Campania Regional Council's Special Anti-Camorra Commission is traveling to Maddaloni to mark the 43rd anniversary of the murder of Franco Imposimato. An environmentalist and CGIL unionist, Imposimato was killed in an ambush on October 11, 1983, in retaliation for the judicial investigations conducted by his brother, Judge Ferdinando Imposimato.
Vincenzo Santangelo, president of the Commission, highlighted Imposimato's contributions to the local community, including his role in founding the Calatino archaeological group. As part of the initiative ‘The Anti-Camorra Commission in the territory against the camorra for legality’, officials will plant a ‘Talea di Falcone’ tree to initiate a ‘distributed forest of legality’ involving local youth and authorities.
