Campania approves program to repurpose confiscated criminal assets

The Campania Regional Council has approved the 2026 annual program for the valorization of assets confiscated from criminal organizations. The initiative aims to strengthen the process of returning these assets to local communities for social, institutional, and productive use.

The program focuses on the recovery and reuse of properties, as well as the reintegration of confiscated businesses into the legal economy through training and orientation. To support these efforts, the region has allocated 1.8 million euros in resources. Of this, 1.5 million euros are designated for the renovation and repurposing of real estate—with grants up to 300,000 euros per project—while 300,000 euros will fund management support, providing up to 60,000 euros per project.

Key objectives include enhancing the skills of local government personnel, fostering collaboration between institutions and social entities, and promoting a culture of legality through active citizen participation.
