Campania extends deadline for school infrastructure projects

The Campania Region has extended the deadline for submitting projects under the “Scuola Viva in Cantiere” II phase 2026 program to October 16, 2026. This extension follows requests from local authorities to allow for more comprehensive project preparation.

The updated program introduces new criteria, including a specific funding stream dedicated to addressing climate challenges and improving air conditioning in school buildings to enhance the well-being of students and staff. Additionally, the notice now allows for the construction of new school buildings, a category previously restricted to seismic retrofitting needs. This change aims to accelerate the expenditure of European regional development funds (PR FESR Campania 2021/2027) and modernize the regional school infrastructure.
