Campania film festivals to showcase cinema and historical memory

The Campania region in Italy is hosting two distinct film festivals focused on cinema, culture, and historical memory.

The Campania Film Festival is scheduled from September 15 to 19, 2026, spanning across Naples, Benevento, and Montesarchio. The event aims to connect young talents with national and international cultural figures through screenings, training sessions, and meetings. The Università Giustino Fortunato serves as a main institutional partner, emphasizing the link between cinema and academic formation.

Additionally, the inaugural San Pietro Infine Film Festival will take place from September 24 to 26, 2026. Supported by the Campania Region, this festival focuses on documentary films to promote local territory and preserve historical memory. The event is centered in San Pietro Infine, a site recognized as a Historical Memory Park due to its history during World War II. Directed by Luca Gianfrancesco, the festival will include a documentary competition and guided visits to local museums dedicated to the Second World War.
