Campania initiatives promote regional culture and economic development

The Campania region is launching several initiatives aimed at leveraging cultural heritage and local craftsmanship to drive economic growth and international tourism.

In Paestum, the ‘Economia della bellezza’ (Economy of Beauty) project is being introduced. This initiative, involving 43 stakeholders including local administrations and businesses, seeks to transform cultural and natural heritage into a resource for sustainable development. A key component of this strategy is the valorization of the Via Appia as a cultural and economic backbone. The project coincides with the XXVIII Mediterranean Archaeological Tourism Bourse, which brings together researchers and institutional representatives.

Simultaneously, the ‘Jewels of Campania’ event will take place at the Tarì, organized by the Campania Region to support the local gold district. The event facilitates meetings between 39 local production companies and international buyers from countries including Germany, Portugal, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Luxembourg, and France. The program also includes the ‘il Tempo dell’oro’ exhibition, showcasing the history of Neapolitan and Southern Italian jewelry from 1800 to 2000.
