Campania rolls out €70 million jobs plan, €2 million airport boost, and new emergency vehicles

The Campania regional government approved several initiatives to strengthen emergency response, transport and employment. It allocated 39 new pick‑up trucks to volunteer civil‑protection organisations—21 equipped for forest‑fire fighting and 18 for hydro‑geological risk mitigation. In the transport sector, Riviera Trasporti Spa replaced its board with a single administrator, Marco Prestileo, and reported a profit of €471,811 for 2025. The Salerno Chamber of Commerce granted €2 million for a two‑year programme (2026‑27) to promote the Salerno‑Costa d’Amalfi airport, enhance tourist marketing and expand flight routes. Campania also launched an Occupability Plan financed with more than €72 million from the national GOL scheme, aiming to match training and job opportunities through regional employment centres. Finally, the region restructured the EAV transport holding, eliminating dual‑role positions, appointing Pietro Diamantini to lead the company and ending the tenure of former president Umberto De Gregorio, with the goal of improving rail services.
