Campania launches over €70 million social inclusion program

The regional government of Campania approved more than €70 million for new social‑policy measures aimed at strengthening the region’s welfare system and supporting the most vulnerable families. The plan, called “Inclusione”, earmarks €52 million for early detection of neurodevelopmental disorders, autism support, mental‑health initiatives and projects that enable people with disabilities to lead independent lives. An additional €21 million will fund school‑based autonomy and communication assistance and the “Dopo di Noi” (After Us) programmes that help individuals with disabilities transition to independent living.

Maurizio Petracca, leader of the Democratic Party group in the Campania Regional Council, praised the measures, saying: “In queste settimane – dichiara il capogruppo … – abbiamo costruito, insieme all’assessore Andrea Morniroli, un metodo di lavoro fondato sul confronto costante, sull’ascolto dei territori e sulla volontà di trasformare i bisogni delle persone in politiche pubbliche efficaci e misurabili.” The group highlighted the funding as a concrete step toward a more inclusive, solidary community.

The investments are part of a broader effort to coordinate health services, territorial authorities, third‑sector organisations and local institutions to better address long‑term social needs.
