Campania launches regional steering committee to aid crime victims

The Campania regional government inaugurated a new steering committee (Cabina di regia) this morning to implement measures supporting victims of crime. The body, created by a decree of President Roberto Fico on 15 July, will coordinate rapid, unified responses for victims and their families and promote a culture of legality.

The committee is chaired by Carlo Visconti, delegate of the President, and includes Bruna Fiola (president of the VI Commission for Education, Culture, Research and Social Policies), Antonio Palmese (president of the Foundation Pol.i.s. – Integrated Security Policies for Victims and Confiscated Assets) and Ciro Russo (head of the special office for legality and integrated security). In its first meeting members outlined strategic directions for the coming months, defining types of interventions, access procedures, and inter‑institutional coordination, and met with representatives of three victim‑support associations to gather direct input.
