Campania pushes reuse of remediated lands, says Environment Assessor Pecoraro
At a Villa Doria d’Angri session of the second‑level M‑TERACS university master on ecological transition and environmental regeneration, Campania’s Environment Assessor Claudia Pecoraro emphasized the region’s goal to turn cleaned‑up sites into active urban and social spaces. She warned that repurposed lands often remain vacant after public funding and stressed the need for coordinated projects with universities, laboratories and companies to create parks, open areas and community facilities. Pecoraro noted collaboration with General Vadalà and described the initiative as a strong imprint on the region’s environmental remediation policy.
The programme aims to integrate land reclamation with urban development, preventing abandonment and fostering sustainable growth in Campania.
