Campania Region approves 15 million euro funding for Mountain Communities

The Campania Region and local authorities held a meeting of the Permanent Conference of the Region – Local Autonomies to discuss the 2026 resource allocation plan for the region's Mountain Communities. The meeting, convened by President Roberto Fico, resulted in the approval of criteria for distributing 15 million euros in ordinary funds for 2026.

This allocation represents a 500,000 euro increase compared to the 2025 budget of 14.5 million euros. While officials noted that the increase does not fully resolve existing financial difficulties within the Mountain Communities, it is viewed as a positive step toward territorial management and the protection of internal areas.

Specific increases were noted for several communities in the Benevento area. For instance, the Fortore Mountain Community is set to see its funding rise from approximately 728,306 euros to 738,561 euros, while the Taburno community will see an increase from roughly 756,247 euros to 781,428 euros.
