Campania region approves €19 million for health, education and tourism; councilor calls for uniform emergency pay

The Campania regional council approved a series of measures funded by up to €5 million for specialist medical training contracts and €14 million to combat school dropout and educational poverty. The plan also includes establishing a pharmacy at Salerno Airport and a new protocol with the Ministry of Education to support school tourism in the region's interior areas.

Regional councilor Pietro Smarrazzo submitted an urgent written question to President Roberto Fico, seeking clarification that the July 8, 2026 regional agreement on emergency‑urgency allowances be applied uniformly to PSAUT personnel across Campania, to ensure equitable treatment of emergency health workers.
