Campania Region approves €200 million-plus plan for housing, jobs and health

The Campania regional cabinet met at Palazzo Santa Lucia and adopted a new regional financial plan. It earmarks €70 million from the PR FSE+ 2021‑2027 for employment support and high‑level postgraduate training, split between self‑employment incentives and qualified job insertion for graduates.

An additional €132.5 million of EU co‑funding was injected into the PR Campania FESR 2021‑2027 to boost the specific objective for sustainable, affordable housing, raising the total housing allocation to roughly €245 million. The funds will be used under the HOPE programme for urban renewal and to alleviate housing pressure in high‑tension areas.

Health measures include the adoption of the State‑Regions agreement on chronic kidney disease care, the creation of a regional nephrology network coordinated by a technical table, and the approval of six new community health houses and one new community hospital. Training for general practitioners receives €1.89 million for the 2026‑2028 triennium.

A separate amendment approved by regional councillor Giovanni Iovino allocates €15 000 to the “Natale a Capodrise” project, supporting cultural, social and commercial activities during the holiday season in the municipality of Capodrise.
