Campania Region sanctions AIR Campania over bus stop suppression

The Campania Region has sanctioned the public transport company AIR Campania S.p.A. following a dispute regarding service disruptions on Line 18-BN. The regional mobility authority imposed a fine of 14,800 euros after determining that the company had illegally suppressed the “Terminal Santa Colomba” stop in Benevento during the summer season.

The decision follows months of formal complaints and legal challenges from commuters, including local resident Adam Biondi, who argued that the stop is a vital hub for healthcare workers and public office employees. The regional authority has ordered the restoration of the stop for the summer 2027 season.
