Campbell High School football begins title defense in Hawaii

The 2026 Hawaii high school football preseason list released by Hawaii Sports Radio Network highlights 150 standout players across the state, organized into five teams of 30. Among the selections are several Campbell Sabers athletes, including senior wide receiver Shaison Kupukaa and defensive back Isaiah Chong.

Campbell, the defending Open Division state champion, opens its title‑defense with a road game against the No. 11 Waipahu Marauders. The Sabers must replace key graduates such as former Offensive Player of the Year quarterback Brayden Medeiros and Defensive Player of the Year defensive back Taino Lave. Returning leaders include senior linebacker Jeovanny Maghamil‑Avilla and offensive lineman Junior Siosiua Afungia.
