Religious festivals and pilgrimages held across Spain, Argentina, and Ecuador
Various religious festivals and pilgrimages are taking place across Spain, Argentina, and Ecuador.
In Spain, Barbastro held a large offering for the Virgen del Pueyo, while Socuéllamos celebrated the Virgen de Loreto, including the symbolic appointment of the Virgin as Honorary Mayor. Toro observed the feast of the Virgen del Canto, and Albox celebrated its patroness with the reopening of a restored chapel. In Arcos de la Frontera, preparations are underway for a major procession in October.
In Argentina, the Milagro festivities in Salta are seeing high tourism expectations and significant growth in pilgrim numbers. In Santiago del Estero, the Señor de los Milagros de Mailín festivities are scheduled for mid-September. Meanwhile, in Córdoba, the Camino de Brochero pilgrimage was rescheduled to September 19 due to adverse weather forecasts.
In Ecuador, thousands of devotees gathered at the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Guayco in Bolívar province, and festivities are planned for the Señor de los Milagros de Andacocha in Azuay.
