Campeche Governor distributes livestock aid under Plan Campeche
Campeche Governor Layda Sansores San Román has distributed livestock support through the ‘Ganadería para el Bienestar’ component of the Plan Campeche. The initiative provided 300 producers from the municipalities of Tenabo, Hecelchakán, Hopelchén, Calkiní, and Campeche with essential resources, including electric fencing kits, 300-liter livestock waterers, forage grass seeds, and artificial insemination services.
The program aims to strengthen livestock infrastructure, nutrition, and genetics to boost meat, milk, and rice production. The ultimate goal of Plan Campeche is to benefit up to 5,000 producers with a total federal investment of approximately 169 to 174 million pesos.
In addition to livestock aid, the Governor announced an allocation of 174 million pesos for drilling equipment, expanding well infrastructure, and improving harvest roads. This initiative is being carried out in coordination with the federal government led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to promote rural development and national food security.
