Campeche man killed in violent attack in Jardines neighborhood
A man, identified by neighbors as ‘Ixquilli’, was killed during a violent attack in the Jardines neighborhood of Campeche. The incident occurred on Narciso Street between Aralia and Tulipanes.
According to local reports, unidentified attackers arrived on motorcycles and entered the victim's residence. Witnesses claim the assailants tied up the victim, his wife, and his children before the attack. While some preliminary reports suggested a shooting, Alejandro Josafat García Villalpando, the Undersecretary of Police Operation, stated the victim sustained wounds from a bladed weapon.
Neighbors indicated that the victim had previously expressed fear after being directly threatened by a dangerous individual. Paramedics from the Emergency Medical Attention Service (SAMU) arrived at the scene but confirmed the man had already passed away. Authorities have cordoned off the area to conduct investigations, while the attackers remain at large.
