Campeche strengthens security protocols following national drill

Governor Layda Sansores announced that security protocols in Campeche are being strengthened following the Second National Drill 2026. Following the earthquake simulation exercise, Sansores held a remote meeting with Omar García Harfuch, head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), and other state governors to evaluate prevention efforts and enhance coordination for emergency responses.

The exercise, conducted during the commemoration of National Civil Protection Day, allowed state personnel to practice response protocols and coordination. The state Secretariat of Civil Protection also participated in the national drill, which included responding to calls from various participating buildings to test the capacity of emergency teams to support citizens during high-risk scenarios.
