Campeche vehicle fire destroys pickup truck

A pickup truck was completely destroyed by fire while driving on Ramón Espínola Avenue in Campeche. The driver reported seeing smoke emanating from the vehicle, prompting her to stop and exit before the flames spread.

Preliminary reports suggest the fire may have been caused by an electrical system failure. Emergency responders, including Civil Protection and firefighters, used approximately 6,000 liters of water to control the blaze and cool the unit. The incident resulted in total material damage to the vehicle, but no injuries were reported. Traffic on the avenue was temporarily closed for about 30 minutes during the emergency operations.
