Campeonato Brasileiro Série C enters final round of first phase

The first phase of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C reaches its final round, with six spots remaining for the qualifying quadrangular stage. Brusque and Botafogo-PB have already secured their advancement. A wide group of teams, including Paysandu, Inter de Limeira, Santa Cruz, Ypiranga, Guarani, Ferroviária, Maranhão, Maringá, Floresta, Amazonas, Figueirense, and Caxias, are still competing for the remaining positions.

Maranhão Atlético Clube (MAC) currently sits in 9th place with 27 points. To advance, MAC must defeat Figueirense and rely on specific results from competitors such as Guarani, Ferroviária, Paysandu, Ypiranga, Santa Cruz, and Inter de Limeira.

At the bottom of the table, Confiança has already been relegated to Série D for 2027. The final relegation spot will be decided between Anápolis, Barra, and Itabaiana. All final round matches are scheduled for Saturday at 17:00 to ensure competitive equality.

Additionally, the competition structure will change in 2027, expanding from 20 to 24 participating clubs. This expansion will increase the first phase from 19 to 23 rounds.
