Campeonato Pernambucano 2027 schedule and regulations released

The Pernambuco Football Federation (FPF) has released the official schedule and regulations for the first stage of the 2027 Campeonato Pernambucano, known as ‘Turno Forró’. Under a new regulation, the A1 and A2 series have been unified into a single competition format featuring 24 clubs.

The clubs are divided into four groups of six teams each. Group B includes Belo Jardim, Central de Caruaru, Chã Grande, Pesqueira, Porto, and Ypiranga. In the first phase, teams will play five rounds of single-match fixtures. The top four teams from each group will advance to the round of 16, which will consist of single-match knockout games.

Following the round of 16, the quarter-finals will also be single-match encounters. The four winners will proceed to a final quadrangular stage. The winner of this quadrangular will be crowned the champion of ‘Turno Forró’ and secure a spot in the second stage, ‘Turno Frevo’. The initial phase is scheduled to conclude on November 8, with the final matches of the quadrangular expected by November 28.
