Campi Bisenzio hosts event honoring Don Lorenzo Milani

A special event titled ‘Don Milani domani’ was held at the Arena Estiva in the Palagio della Misericordia in Campi Bisenzio to honor the legacy of Don Lorenzo Milani. Organized by the MCL don Renzo Paoli circle, the free event coincided with the 480th anniversary of the Confraternita di Misericordia di Campi Bisenzio.

The evening featured a dialogue on peace and solidarity between Cristiano Biancalani and Don Andrea Bigalli, who emphasized the importance of trusting youth for a better future. The program included a musical reading titled ‘Don Milani domani. Tutto è possibile’ by Giovanna M. Carli, accompanied by live music from composer Giovanni Tancredi Tafani. This was followed by the screening of a docufilm directed by Carli, which explored themes of education as emancipation and civic responsibility.
