Campi Bisenzio Leader Urges Minister Musumeci to Inspect Flood‑Safety Works

Roberto Valerio, the parliamentary group leader for Fratelli d’Italia in Campi Bisenzio, has formally asked Interior Minister Nello Musumeci to return for an on‑site inspection of the town’s hydraulic defenses. Valerio argues that the municipality remains highly vulnerable after the November 2023 floods and that unfinished expansion chambers and neglected riverbank maintenance have left the area at risk of another disaster.

He cites a parliamentary inquiry that found only 25 % of the €884 million allocated for landslide mitigation in Tuscany has been spent, and urges regional authorities to prioritize the long‑delayed works mandated by civil protection law.
