Campi Flegrei: Campania approves 7 million euros for seismic relief
The Campania Regional Council has approved a law to allocate 7 million euros to assist municipalities affected by the seismic swarm in the Campi Flegrei area. The funds, sourced from the Regional Council's administrative surplus, will be distributed to Pozzuoli, Bacoli, Monte di Procida, and Naples.
The resources are intended for civil protection activities, population assistance, and support for damaged economic and commercial activities. The measure was promoted by the Democratic Party (PD) group to address the consequences of the seismic activity that occurred on July 31.
In parallel, political tensions have emerged regarding the declaration of a state of emergency. Roberto Celano, a regional councilor for Forza Italia, criticized former president De Luca, arguing that the regional majority had previously voted against resolutions urging the region to request a state of emergency from the national government.
