Campina Grande authorities warn of WhatsApp scam impersonating Secretary Dorgival Vilar

The Campina Grande City Hall, through the Secretariat of Urban Services and Environment (Sesuma), has issued an alert regarding a new fraudulent scheme involving the misuse of Secretary Dorgival Vilar’s name and image.

Criminals are using WhatsApp to impersonate the secretary and contact individuals to request money transfers. This follows a previous incident where the secretary's identity was similarly exploited. Dorgival Vilar has filed a police report to address the cybercrime. The municipal administration emphasized that it does not request financial contributions, transfers, or payments via WhatsApp, messaging apps, or phone calls, and advised citizens to disregard any such suspicious requests.
