Campina Grande completes third stage of Bodocongó Canal
The third stage of the Bodocongó Canal has been delivered in Campina Grande, aimed at improving urban mobility and infrastructure in the city's West Zone. The project, delivered by Mayor Bruno Cunha Lima, includes two illuminated lanes designed to enhance safety and facilitate movement for both vehicles and pedestrians.
Local council members have noted that the intervention transforms areas previously characterized by neglect, waste accumulation, and poor terrain conditions. The new structure improves circulation between Rua Francisco Lopes and Avenida Floriano Peixoto, reducing travel distances for residents.
There are ongoing calls from local representatives to extend the project through a fourth stage, which would continue the canal's development from Ponte do Cruzeiro to the Alça do Oeste in the Três Irmãs neighborhood.
