Campina Grande councilman opposes Dr. Edgley Hospital closure

Councilman Rostand Paraíba has pledged to oppose the potential closure of the Dr. Edgley Hospital in Campina Grande. He emphasized that deactivating the unit could severely impact residents of the city's East Zone.

Paraíba argued that the hospital is vital for providing public health services to the local population. He called for the municipal government to consider the needs of the community and the existing demand before making any decisions regarding the healthcare network's structure. The councilman intends to use legislative tools to monitor the situation and demand explanations and actions from the Executive Branch to ensure continuous medical assistance.
