Campina Grande expands public bus routes and adds new line

The city of Campina Grande is implementing changes to its public transportation system, including the creation of a new bus line and the expansion of existing routes. These changes, scheduled to take effect on August 24, are expected to benefit approximately 25,000 people.

The new Line 040 will provide a direct connection between the Aluízio Campos housing complex and the Catolé neighborhood. This route will allow residents to access key locations such as Shopping Partage, the STTP headquarters, and the APAE without needing to travel through the city center first.

Additionally, two existing lines will see itinerary expansions: Line 500 will now serve the Bento Figueiredo complex, and Line 333 will be extended to reach the Araxá complex. According to the Superintendência de Trânsito e Transportes Públicos (STTP), these adjustments were developed in response to community demands raised during participatory budget assemblies. Residents can consult updated schedules and routes via the MobiCG mobile application.
