Campina Grande polyclinic resumes services after series of burglaries

The Policlínica Francisco Pinto in Campina Grande has resumed medical services this Monday following a week-long suspension. The closure was triggered by a series of four burglaries and thefts that occurred within a single week.

The municipal Health Secretariat reported estimated damages of approximately R$ 100,000, involving stolen equipment, materials, and structural damage. The suspension allowed for security upgrades, space reorganization, and the replacement of stolen items.

Preliminary investigations suggest suspects accessed the facility through the premises of the former Afonso Campos Forum, an unoccupied building ceded to the Government of Paraíba located next to the clinic. The city administration is working with public security agencies to identify those responsible and prevent future incidents.
