Campinas City Council to vote on Vini Oliveira's mandate

The Campinas City Council is scheduled to hold a judgment session this Wednesday to decide whether Councilman Vini Oliveira (Cidadania) will lose his mandate. The session follows a final report from the Processing Commission recommending his removal due to alleged political-administrative infractions.

The case originated from a complaint filed by Councilwoman Mariana Conti (PSOL), following media reports regarding Oliveira's presence at a transportation company in early April, shortly after the municipal public transport concession auction. Oliveira's defense denies all accusations.

To revoke the mandate, a two-thirds majority is required, meaning at least 22 of the 33 council votes must be in favor. The proceedings will include oral arguments from the defense and debates among council members before the final nominal vote.
