Campinas hosts 6th Solidarity Cycling Tour for urban mobility

More than 250 cyclists participated in the 6th Solidarity Cycling Tour organized by the Campinas Bike Clube on September 20. The event was part of the Campinas Bike Day and the Urban Mobility Week promoted by Emdec.

The 10 km route began at the Monsenhor Emílio José Salim Ecological Park. Campinas Mayor Dário Saadi attended the start of the event, noting that the city has not recorded any cyclist fatalities this year and has expanded its cycling routes to over 134 km.

Organizers stated the initiative aims to combat sedentary lifestyles, promote physical activity, and encourage the use of bicycles for safe urban transportation.
