Campinas: Motorcycle collides with Samu ambulance during police pursuit

A motorcycle collided with a Samu ambulance in Campinas during the early hours of Monday, August 24. The accident occurred at the intersection of Avenida Ana Beatriz Bierrenbach and Rua das Dália while the ambulance was transporting a patient to Hospital Ouro Verde.

According to the Military Police, the motorcycle was being followed by officers due to suspicious behavior. During the pursuit, the occupants attempted to flee, resulting in the collision. Two foreign men on the motorcycle sustained injuries and were taken to Hospital Ouro Verde and Pronto-Socorro São José, respectively. The occupants were not carrying identification at the time of the incident.
