Campinas municipal agencies address transport oversight and station renovations

The Municipal Development Company of Campinas (Emdec) has archived an inquiry into the conduct of former financial and administrative director Ricardo Ferraro Geciauskas. The investigation was launched after images showed Geciauskas visiting Smile Transportes, a company involved in the bidding process for Campinas' public transport concession. While the inquiry commission found no evidence that Geciauskas participated in the bidding process, Emdec decided not to reinstate him to his former position.

Separately, the Campinas Cultural Heritage Defense Council (CONDEPACC) has approved a renovation project for the Campinas Railway Station with specific reservations. The project, submitted by TIC Trens, involves the future Intermetropolitan Train (TIM) station. CONDEPACC has requested a revision of the architectural design for the facades to ensure aesthetic harmony between the new station and the existing historic station structure.
