Campinas to republish public transport bidding notice in October

The Campinas City Hall will republish the public transport bidding notice in the first half of October, with a new auction expected to take place in December. This follows a decision by the State Court of Auditors (TCE-SP) to annul the previous bidding stage and auction held on March 5 at the B3 exchange.

The TCE-SP questioned the timeframe allowed for submitting proposals, ruling that the deadline should have been 35 business days rather than 15 calendar days. While the court maintained the original content and spreadsheets of the concession, it mandated a repetition of the proposal phase. Technical teams have since updated the bid values to reflect current pricing.

The concession covers conventional public transport, the Inclusive Accessibility Program (PAI), BRT terminals and stations, as well as ticketing, management, and operational monitoring services.
