Camping.info ranks top 100 European campsites for 2026 season

The travel and booking platform camping.info has released its ranking of the 100 most searched camping sites for the 2026 season, based on user click data from its platform.

Falkensteiner Camping Grubhof in Salzburg, Austria, secured the top position, followed by Camping Vidor Family & Wellness Resort in Trentino, Italy, and Camp MondSeeLand in Upper Austria. While Austria dominates the top of the list, Germany remains the leading camping nation in terms of volume, accounting for 47 of the top 100 most searched locations. Austria follows with 23 sites, and Italy with 18.

Other notable mentions include Camping Bled in Slovenia, which ranked 31st, and Camping Adria Ankaran at 56th. Croatia also appeared on the list with Camping Kovačine (44th), Falkensteiner Camping Zadar (45th), and Valamar Camping Krk (100th). The ranking reflects a broader trend of growing popularity for outdoor holidays in Europe, with Eurostat reporting a significant increase in camping overnight stays across the EU over the last decade.
