Campione d’Italia to host historic motorsport event in 2026

The historic motorsport event at the Circuito di Campione d’Italia is scheduled to take place from September 3 to 6, 2026. Located on the shores of Lake Lugano, the event will feature vintage automobiles, motorcycles, and historic boats, celebrating the era of legendary drivers from the 1930s and 1940s.

The 2026 edition introduces several new initiatives, including the ‘Mini GP for Kids’. This free program for children aged 3 to 7 uses low-speed electric vehicles to teach road safety and social skills in a non-competitive environment. This initiative is part of the ‘Circuito Academy’ project, which involves students from USI and SUPSI to promote generational renewal and professional integration.

Logistical arrangements for attendees include a new parking area in Melano, a free shuttle service, and boat connections between Lugano and Campione d’Italia via the ‘Allegra’ vessel and a dedicated catamaran on September 5. The program also features a tour in Ticino, a visit to Bentley Lugano, and various official presentations and gala dinners.
