Campo de Gibraltar industry and employment updates

The Association of Large Industries of Campo de Gibraltar (AGI) reported a combined turnover of 11,195 million euros for 2025, a decrease from the 12,183.63 million euros recorded the previous year. Despite the decline, the association noted that companies maintained significant activity levels and continued investment projects. The industrial sector in the region generates 1,300 million euros in Gross Value Added and supports over 12,000 jobs, including 4,118 direct positions and 7,989 in auxiliary service companies.

In related regional development news, the second edition of the EMPLEA-FEST 2026 job fair is scheduled for October 27 and 28 at Parque de las Acacias in Algeciras. Organized by the Mancomunidad de Municipios del Campo de Gibraltar as part of the Innova Campo de Gibraltar 2026 program, the event will feature 26 companies and organizations. The fair aims to connect job seekers with local employment opportunities through exhibition spaces and informative presentations on market needs and professional skills.
