Campo Grande authorities halt Sarau Delas event over permit issues

An integrated inspection by Campo Grande authorities halted the 4th Sarau Delas – Prêmio Márcia Zen 2026, an event held in observance of National Lesbian Visibility Day. The operation, involving Planurb, Semades, the Metropolitan Civil Guard, and the Military Police, was triggered by reports via the 156 channel.

Inspectors determined that the event was being set up without the required municipal environmental authorization. Additionally, the utility provider Energisa identified and disconnected an unauthorized provisional power connection made directly to the public grid. While organizers stated they held authorization from Agetran for the road closure, the lack of environmental permits led to the immediate shutdown and dismantling of the stage and sound equipment.

Organizers and local political figures have expressed strong opposition to the intervention. They claim all necessary documentation was in order and characterized the heavily armed police presence as a form of repression against the LGBTQ+ community and local culture.
