Campo Grande driver arrested after drunk driving accident and police harassment

A driver was arrested in Campo Grande, Brazil, after causing a vehicle collision while intoxicated. The incident occurred in the Vila Planalto neighborhood during the early hours of Friday, involving a Toyota Hilux and a Citroën C4.

According to police reports, the Hilux driver lost control at an intersection, striking the side of the Citroën. The impact caused extensive damage to the Hilux, including a crushed front and roof. The driver sustained injuries and was treated by firefighters before being taken to the Santa Mônica Urgent Care Unit (UPA).

Following the accident, the driver reportedly insulted military officers and harassed a female police officer. He was arrested in flagrante for contempt and driving under the influence. The Hilux was seized by Detran-MS, while the Citroën was released to its owner.
