Brazil's 2026 Campanha do Agasalho expands with new collection points and school deliveries

The 2026 Campanha do Agasalho, a winter‑clothing donation drive, has added a painted collection container in the Embaré neighborhood of Santos. The artwork, created by children from Casa Vovó Benedita, turned the container into a public‑art piece and is intended to attract more donations of warm clothing and blankets through 9 August.

In Campo Grande, the campaign continues to accept contributions until 31 July at more than 80 locations across the city, with organizers emphasizing community involvement to reach families in need. Meanwhile, an emergency shelter set up at the Pedro II Metro station in São Paulo provides food, mattresses and blankets to homeless people during a cold‑air surge, coordinated by the state Civil Defence and the São Paulo Social Fund.

Cravinhos’ municipal government, through its Social Solidarity Fund, recently distributed newly purchased blankets to families assisted by local social‑assistance centers. In Ribas do Rio Pardo, the municipal education and social‑assistance departments delivered winter coats to over 200 rural students, a first phase of a broader rollout to all school extensions. Overall, the campaign routes donations to 127 registered social entities throughout the state of São Paulo and neighboring municipalities.
