Campo Grande manages climate emergency and urban infrastructure updates

Campo Grande is managing several municipal developments involving climate response, infrastructure, and urban mobility. The federal government has officially recognized a state of emergency in the city following a severe windstorm on September 10, with preliminary damages estimated at R$ 40 million. In response, the Climate Change Committee (Comec) is coordinating prevention and monitoring protocols to prepare for potential El Niño impacts.

Urban mobility is also a focus, with the Municipal Agency of Transport and Traffic (Agetran) announcing various temporary road closures. These interdictions are due to social, religious, and political events, including a debate between candidates for the Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul and several sporting competitions.

Additionally, the city recently hosted the II Construction Week Workshop, which drew over 350 professionals to discuss technical updates and strengthen the relationship between the construction sector and public administration. The city's technology hub, Parktec CG, also celebrated its third anniversary, continuing to connect local entrepreneurs with academic and public institutions.
