Campo Grande hotel occupancy rises to 59%

Hotel occupancy in Campo Grande increased consecutively between July and September 2026, rising from 55.53% to 59%. According to data from the Tourism Observatory of the Municipal Secretariat of Environment, Urban Management, and Sustainable Economic, Tourism and Development (Semades), the growth indicates a rising demand for accommodation in the capital.

The increase was driven by several major events, including Marcha para Jesus, Imersão Sem Limites – Método EVO, and the Maximize Summit. These events have boosted the flow of visitors and increased demand for local services such as food and commerce.

Research also indicates that 36.48% of tourists stay in Campo Grande for five days or more. Ademar Silva Junior, the municipal secretary, stated that monitoring these indicators is essential for planning actions to strengthen tourism and encourage longer stays to stimulate the local economy.
