Mato Grosso do Sul identity card drive serves 608 people

A recent identity card drive in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, served 608 individuals over a two-day period. The initiative, held at Pátio O Shopping do Centro, exceeded the initial expectation of 500 attendees.

Organized by the State Secretariat of Justice and Public Security (Sejusp) through the Identification Institute of the Mato Grosso do Sul Scientific Police, the event provided services without the need for prior online scheduling. Participants included retirees and families with young children, including the issuance of the first National Identity Card (CIN) for a two-month-old infant.

Daniel Ferreira Freitas, director of the Identification Institute, noted that these drives aim to assist those who struggle with electronic scheduling systems or conventional office hours. The state is currently conducting approximately three such drives per week and aims to reach one million issued identity cards by December.
