Campo Grande launches free manicure course for Agosto Lilás 2026

The Prefeitura de Campo Grande, through the Secretaria Executiva da Mulher (SEMU), announced a free manicure and pedicure training programme as part of the Agosto Lilás 2026 campaign. The four‑day course runs from 3 to 6 August 2026 at the CRAS Colúmbia centre (Rua Urarioca, 1.000 – Jardim Colúmbia) with daily sessions from 08:30 to 11:00. It targets women seeking professional qualification, income generation and financial autonomy, covering practical techniques, biosafety, hygiene and sterilisation. Participants receive a certificate on completion. Agosto Lilás 2026 focuses on combating violence against women under the theme “The silence feeds violence. Empathy can save it.”

In Dourados, the campaign will also feature a Tenda Lilás set up in Praça Antônio João from 4 to 6 August 2026 (07:30‑13:30). The tent will provide information, guidance and referral services for women experiencing violence, with representatives from the Municipal Women’s Police, Military Police, Firefighters, Municipal Guard, Public Ministry, Public Defender, OAB, university hospital, child welfare council and other agencies. Ana Carolina Prates, coordinator of the Coordinadoria de Políticas Públicas para as Mulheres, highlighted the aim of raising awareness and offering support throughout the city.
