Campo Grande launches free manicure training to boost employment
The Prefeitura of Campo Grande, through the Secretaria Executiva da Juventude (Sejuv), completed a free manicure and pedicure course at the CRAS Albino Coimbra in the Jardim Aeroporto neighbourhood. The program, which began on 29 June, graduated 24 participants and provided practical and theoretical instruction on nail care, hygiene, and customer service.
Organisers said the training aims to increase job opportunities and foster entrepreneurship, allowing graduates to work as autonomous professionals, join salons, or start their own businesses. Participant Geovana Lemes, 23, said the new skills will help her launch a personal venture. Youth Secretariat officials highlighted the initiative’s role in expanding access to vocational education and strengthening income generation in the city.
