Campo Grande launches third Elas Constroem cohort for women in construction

The municipal government of Campo Grande, through the Secretariat of Women (Semu), inaugurated the third cohort of the Elas Constroem program on Saturday. The free training initiative, part of the August Lilás 2026 agenda, will qualify 78 women for jobs in masonry, real‑estate painting and building electrical work. The project is coordinated by Sinduscon‑MS in partnership with the Brazilian Construction Industry Chamber (CBIC), Senai, Sintracom‑CG and the public‑private program Construindo Talentos. Secretary Angélica Fontanari highlighted the partnership’s role in expanding public policies that generate income for women, while Sinduscon‑MS superintendent Kely de Paula said the program diversifies and strengthens the construction sector.

The courses aim to increase female participation in a traditionally male‑dominated industry and improve participants’ access to the regional labor market.
