On Thursday, 30 May, the Prefeitura of Campo Grande signed agreements to transfer the use of public spaces to five civil‑society organisations. The ceremony took place at the Paço Municipal and was attended by Mayor Adriane Lopes, Semades secretary Ademar Silva Junior, the municipal secretary for Women Angélica Fontanari and the secretary for Government and Institutional Relations Ulisses Rocha.

The five beneficiaries – Associação Quartier Santa Inês, Instituto União Familiar e a Criança, Instituto Cícero Ávila, Associação de Mulheres Rosas Curadas para Curar and Associação do Mercado Municipal e Ecoparque – will be able to use the designated areas for social, community and public‑interest projects. The mayor said the partnerships provide legal security and enable the organisations to continue delivering services to the city’s residents, while the secretary explained that the cession instrument guarantees regular, safe occupation of municipal land under municipal oversight.
