Campo Grande municipal meeting integrates health, education to strengthen Bolsa Família
The City Hall of Campo Grande, through its Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance and Citizenship (SAS), convened an intersectoral colloquium across the municipality's 21 Centers of Social Assistance (CRAS). Staff from the municipal Health and Education secretariats attended, aiming to align strategies, update teams on Bolsa Família guidelines, and improve the flow of assistance for beneficiary families.
Mayara Almeida da Silva Ferreira, manager of the Cadastro Único in Campo Grande, explained that the initiative seeks to bring professionals together to provide more humanised and efficient support, especially for families at risk of losing benefits due to unmet conditionalities. In July, 50,830 families received Bolsa Família payments in the city. To remain enrolled, families must meet health and education requirements such as school attendance rates and child vaccination and nutrition monitoring, and keep their Cadastro Único information current every two years or after any change in income or household composition.
